Single screen video projection with multi channel sound featuring the Soprano singer Germain Lewis of the Lydians Choir, Trinidad. Filmed in a redundant Omega tracking Station in Chaguaramus, Trinidad. In 1977 the site had been abandoned following the end of America's 36 year occupation of Chaguaramas. The Tracking Station is one of eight such installations around the globe. Together they formed the worlds first Global Navigation System. The unusual acoustic of this utilitarian architecture and the buildings original function were reverberated by the vibrato voice of the Soprano. |
